Biography
Cybèle (pronounced sea-BELL) is a freelance illustrator known for her expressive, vector-based artwork rooted in traditional drawing and painting. Her style blends free-flowing line work with a relaxed, organic feel—often inspired by her global upbringing, a love of nature, travel, literature, and fashion.
Initially drawn to digital tools for their resemblance to her favorite analog mediums—ink and gouache—Cybèle found a natural fit in vector illustration. Over time, she’s embraced the medium’s distinct digital aesthetic while evolving her technique to retain the hand-drawn warmth and spontaneity of brushwork.
Her illustrations often play with texture and contrast—combining flat color fields with custom seamless patterns for depth and dimension. Each piece is crafted by hand using vector brushes on a tablet—no AI involved—ensuring a personal, intentional touch in every detail.
Whether working with brands, publications, or personal commissions, Cybèle brings a thoughtful and distinctive voice to every project she takes on.
